Prince William was very comfortable cracking jokes with a group of students on FaceTime. The group was surprised but delighted to see the future king's hilarious side.
Prince William Jokes With Students On FaceTime
The Prince of Wales visited Ipswich Hospital and Ipswich Ambulance Statio Friday. He met Kerry Gaskin, a service delivery manager at the East of England Ambulance Service. She prepared some royal-themed cupcakes for him with Union Jack flags, crowns and 'HRH' lettering in honor of the royal, People reported.
During the royal visit, Gaskin phoned her son, a student from Colchester in Essex. A clip of the call was shared on TikTok.
"Are you friends with Ed Sheeran? Who's the guy to the corner?" Prince William asked during the call while the young man turned the camera to a young man with red hair similar to the Thinking Out Loud singer's, and the group of students burst into laughter.
"Are you guys doing any work?" the Prince of Wales asked the students again, who replied "no" and explained they were at lunch.
"Your mother's feeding me her cakes," Kate Middleton's husband continued while showing off the half-eaten treat. "They're not very good. I've told her she wouldn't win Bake Off," he continued as he and Gaskin laughed, so as the students.
The video received several comments, with many praising the heir to the throne for displaying his hilarious side.
"he seems like such a nice guy," one commented. Another added, "Prince William is such a gem."
"Why is this so funny he's just talking so casually" a different user wrote.
"how is this not viral," another asked.
"Aww this is so funny 😂 I've told her she won't make bake off and his face was class 😂 I love he's our future King," another royal fan wrote.
Prince William Is Reportedly More Confident Now
King Charles promoted Prince William and Kate Middleton as the new Prince and Princess of Wales when he ascended the throne. Following their promotion, the royal couple's level of confidence has improved, according to a body language expert.
"Since becoming the Prince of Wales, William has also begun to exude a whole different level of confidence, including the way he walks in his posture and what he does with his hands," Body language expert Darren Stanton said on behalf of Slingo, according to Showbiz CheatSheet. "He no longer places them inside his jacket, as he once did in previous years, which is a self-reassurance gesture."
"Also, he no longer plays with his cufflinks like his father, King Charles. William has clearly embraced his new role, which has provided him with a higher level of confidence."
Prince William's hilarious streak is also natural. He shared during his and Middleton's engagement interview in 2010 that they shared the same humor.
"She's got a really naughty sense of humor which really helps me because I've got a really dirty sense of humor, so it was good fun, we had a really good laugh, and then things happened," Prince William said.
