Prince William and Kate Middleton are well-loved in Britain. In fact, several polls revealed that more people want Prince William and Middleton to become the next king and queen consort of Britain and not Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles. However, recent reports suggested that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are not loved by everyone in the United States.
Did Priyanka Chopra Snub Prince William And Kate Middleton At Wimbledon?
Since Wimbledon returned this week, Express revisited an incident that took place during the same sports event a few years ago. At the time, Meghan Markle’s good friend, Priyanka Chopra was spotted seemingly ignoring Prince William and Kate Middleton as they entered the venue.
The publication revealed that the other guests at Wimbledon applauded the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. However. Chopra reportedly kept herself busy by adjusting her scarf until the commotion was over.
Photos of Chopra also, allegedly showed her looking away from Prince William and Middleton even though they were seated just two rows apart. Immediately after the snaps were released, the Quantico alum faced backlash from royal fans. Some of them accused the actress of being disrespectful.
“I'm actually in disbelief about such a lack of manners and upbringing. The Americans sitting in the vicinity [of] Kate and William did NOT clap nor acknowledge their entry. Two past tennis stars with their wives, King and Navratilova, and a bestie of Meghan's, Priyanka Chopra,” one royal fan tweeted.
However, there were also a few that came to Chopra’s defense. They said that the actress was right to ignore the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge because her loyalty is to Markle.

Meghan Markle And Priyanka Chopra Are Good Friends
Previous reports revealed that Markle and Chopra have known each other for six years. They reportedly met at an ELLE Women in Television dinner around the time that Markle and Prince Harry started dating.
While speaking with The Press Trust of India, Markle shared that Chopra admired one of her works.
“You know when you meet someone and you just click? It was just an easy, natural progression. We've managed to keep in touch via email and text, and try to see each other whenever we're both in the same town,” she said.
Two years after they met, Prince Harry and Markle invited Chopra to attend their royal wedding. And even though no photos of the two have been released recently, they are still good friends today.
However, it’s unclear if Chopra intentionally snubbed Prince William and Middleton at Wimbledon. But a similar incident happened recently and it involves the Duchess of Sussex.
Meghan Markle Accused Of Snubbing Kate Middleton During Thanksgiving Service
Prince Harry and Markle attend the Thanksgiving Service at St. Paul’s Cathedral last month as part of Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. They were seated at the other end of the chapel opposite Prince William and Middleton.
According to eagle-eyed onlookers, Markle snubbed the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as they walked down the aisle of the church. A video that surfaced online shows Markle turning her head away as Prince William and Middleton approached their seat.
However, it’s also unclear if the alleged snub was done intentionally. It is entirely possible that Markle’s actions are just being given a different meaning amid reports that she and Prince Harry are still at odds with Prince William and Middleton.
