Prince Harry expressed concern over Prince William and Kate Middleton's children for experiencing the same fate as him. Princess Charlotte is her older brother Prince George's spare. However, an expert believed she would not go down the same path as her uncle Harry.

Prince William, Kate Middleton Figured Out How To Raise A Spare Like Princess Charlotte?

In an interview with The Telegraph when Prince Harry was promoting his memoir Spare, he mentioned his concern about the other spares, referring to the Prince and Princess of Wales' children.

Prince Harry raised his concern to his brother, but the latter reportedly assured him that his three children — Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4, are not his responsibility. Prince Harry said this:

"Though William and I have talked about it once or twice, and he has made it very clear to me that his kids are not my responsibility, I still feel a responsibility knowing that out of those three children, at least one will end up like me, the 'spare.'"

He added:

"And that hurts, that worries me."

Royal expert Katie Nicholl was also convinced that Prince Harry's nephews and niece are safe and are unlikely to feel the same way as him being a spare. Nicholl said this via Dynasty:

"I think when you look to the Cambridges and how they are raising their children away from the spotlight in pretty ordinary schools in a pretty cottage [Adelaide Cottage] in the grounds of Windsor, having bucket and spade holidays and teaching them to sail on the broads in Norfolk, actually they are enjoying a childhood that William and Harry just didn't get to enjoy."

She added:

"And I think that's why William and Kate are channeling everything they can into raising their children. With that understanding of who they are as royals and as just ordinary children too. Of course, it does open up the question of the next spare, of Princess Charlotte. And I'm sure that William and Kate have that all worked out."

Prince William, Kate Middleton Already Briefing Princess Charlotte With The Right Expectations?

Richard Eden, a royal expert and the Daily Mail's Diary Editor, spoke about Princess Charlotte's future in the monarchy in the Palace Confidential newsletter on Feb. 17. "How can the royal family avoid history repeating itself when it comes to Prince George, the heir, and Princess Charlotte, the 'spare'?" he began.

According to Eden, he heard from sources that Prince William and Middleton have certain expectations from Princess Charlotte. They reportedly want her "to grow up with the expectation that she will get a job and not be a full-time royal."

The royal expert suggested that, in his personal opinion, he would prefer Princess Charlotte to serve the monarchy like Princess Anne and Prince Edward, who are still active members of the firm.

He added this about Princess Charlotte:

"Personally, I would prefer to see a larger royal family, carrying out more official engagements and meeting more members of the public. If Charlotte is to get a job and not be an active member of 'The Firm,' she needs to be ready to step into the breach, if needed."

Do you agree that Princess Charlotte is unlikely to feel the same way as her uncle, Prince Harry, being Prince George's spare?
