Prince Harry's memoir Spare was filled with bombshells about the royal family, especially Queen Consort Camilla. In one of the chapters of his book, the Duke of Sussex revealed that he and Prince William tried to talk King Charles out of marrying their stepmom. But in the end, the Duke of Sussex realized that his dad also deserved to be happy.
Former Royal Butler Questions Prince Harry's Stories About Queen Consort Camilla In Spare
Following his revelations about Queen Consort Camilla, former royal butler Grant Harrold admitted that he was surprised to hear Prince Harry's stories about his stepmom. After all, while he was still working for the royal family, he noticed how close Prince Harry was to Queen Consort Camilla.
Harrold also described Prince Harry and Queen Consort Camilla's relationship as good and fun.
"I witnessed that warm relationship [between Charles and Harry], I really did. I wouldn't say I was envious because I had a good relationship with my dad but I used to think how nice that they've got that fun relationship. Whenever Harry was around Camilla there was always laughter, she'd be giggling and he'd be giggling and it would be fun. You only have to look at pictures to see that. If it was that awful surely you would not go out of your way to be seen with them. She's somebody who tries to make everything right for everybody so that's why I don't get that bit," Harrold said (via Cheat Sheet).

Grant Harrold Says Prince Harry And Queen Consort Camilla Got Along Well With Each Other
The former royal butler went on to say that Prince Harry also got along well with Queen Consort Camilla's two children, Laura and Tom. So, hearing his claims that he and Queen Consort Camilla weren't always close led Harrold to think that something must have happened between the two after he left his job.
Harrold also talked about King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla's wedding, which he witnessed firsthand. He said that Prince Harry seemed happy and excited on the day of his dad's wedding. So, any suggestion that he didn't support the union seemed questionable for the former royal butler.
"I was there for the wedding, the engagement. I promise you from my point of view and as I say, I wasn't there every single second so I can't guarantee what conversations took place but when I was around they all got on. [Harry and William] supported their father, they were very excited about it," he said.

But during his interview with Michael Strahan for Good Morning America, Prince Harry explained why he described Queen Consort Camilla as dangerous in Spare.
"She had a reputation or an image to rehabilitate, and whatever conversations happened, whatever deals or trading was made right at the beginning, she was led to believe that that would be the best way to do it," he said (via People).
The Duke of Sussex also stressed that he doesn't see Queen Consort Camilla as his evil stepmother. He added that even though they haven't spoken in a while, they are still pleasant with each other.
"We haven't spoken for a long time. I love every member of my family, despite their differences. So when I see her, we're perfectly pleasant with each other. She's my stepmother. I don't look at her as an evil stepmother. I see someone who married into this institution, and done everything she can to improve her own reputation and her own image, for her own sake," he said.
