Prince Harry Shock: Meghan Markle's Husband Accused Of Copying Brother Prince William's Remark In His U.N. Keynote Speech In NYC

Prince Harry was the keynote speaker at the U.N. Assembly celebrating Nelson Mandela Day in New York City Monday. However, the Duke of Sussex raised eyebrows, with some even mocking him for allegedly copying his brother Prince William's previous speech.

Prince Harry Shared Similar Message As Prince William In His UN Speech

The Duke of Sussex paid a special tribute to his wife, Meghan Markle, and late mother, Princess Diana, when he addressed the United Nations assembly. However, it turned out that his message about the most special women in his life and Africa being a special place to him was too similar to what Prince William said in his 2021 Church of Scotland speech, Geo News reported.

"And in the dark days of grief that followed, I found comfort and solace in the Scottish outdoors," Prince William said in his speech, according to the outlet.

"It's where I felt closest to my mother and sought solace after she died, and where I knew I had found a soulmate in my wife," Prince Harry said in his U.N. speech.

The Duke of Cambridge also made a reference to his sweet wife, Kate Middleton, in the same speech. While Prince Harry called his spouse his soulmate, his older brother looked back at how he met Middleton in Scotland and remembered her as his "future wife" at the time, years before they tied the knot.

“It was here in Scotland, 20 years ago, that I first met Catherine. Needless to say, the time when you meet your future wife holds a very special place in your heart," the second in line to the throne said.

Prince Harry Accused Of Copying And Pasting Prince William's Speech

Geo News noted the various reaction on Twitter following the comparison. One accused Prince Harry of "copying and pasting" his brother's speech.

"Prince Harry just copied and pasted Prince William’s 2021 Church of Scotland Speech," one wrote alongside a clip of the two princes delivering their speeches.

"That's two of Prince William's speeches plagiarized for this event. #ForShame," a second user added.

Another pointed out the way the royal siblings delivered their messages. One said the future king was smiling when he mentioned his wife, unlike Prince Harry.

"- and he is smiling when mentioning Catherine - whereas Harry looks sour in his speech naming his wife his soulmate," another user commented.

"H forgot to copy Prince William’s human warmth," a fourth person wrote.
