Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are allegedly insistent that their kids Archie and Lilibet be prince and princess. King Charles is willing to give them the titles, but the two children will reportedly not get the HRH titles.

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Will Be Prince And Princes But Will Not Get HRH Titles

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex want their children to be prince and princess after King Charles takes over the throne. Markle has previously spoken about why she wanted Archie to be a prince — she wanted him to be safe. However, even if Archie and Lilibet will become prince and princess, they will still not get the security their mom expected because they will not get the HRH titles.

"Harry and Meghan were worried about the security issue and being prince and princess brings them the right to have certain levels of royal security," an anonymous source told The Sun. "There have been a lot of talks over the past week."

The source added that the couple "have been insistent" on making Archie and Lilibet a prince and princess. The Sussexes are getting what they wanted but not 100 percent.

"They have been relentless since the Queen died," the source continued. "But they have been left furious that Archie and Lilibet cannot take the title HRH. That is the agreement — they can be prince and princess but not HRH because they are not working royals."

What Prince Harry's Wife Meghan Markle Said About Archie's Title

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's children are entitled to become prince and princess after Queen Elizabeth's death and after King Charles takes over the throne. Last year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex sat down for a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey. The former Suits star discussed why Archie wasn't made a prince despite being the great-grandson of Queen Elizabeth.

"You certainly must have had some conversations with Harry about it and had your own suspicions as to why they didn't want to make Archie a prince. Why do you think that is?" Winfrey asked Markle, per People.

Markle claimed the move was "different from protocol."

"They didn't want him to be a prince . . . which would be different from protocol, and that he wasn't going to receive security," Markle said. "We have in tandem the conversation of, 'He won't be given security. He's not going to be given a title.' And also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he's born."

Royal expert Craig Prescott said Markle's claim during her interview with Winfrey was wrong. He pointed out that the title and security have nothing to do with each other.

"One [concern is] that is that if Archie had a title, he would get security, but that isn't quite true," he told Us Weekly.

To make his point clear, the constitutional expert said Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie both have titles. However, they do not enjoy royal protection because they "don't do public duties and don't get security as a rule" despite their royal titles.
