Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are very close to his cousin Princess Eugenie. However, the latter and her sister, Princess Beatrice, were spotted hanging out with one of the Sussexes' fierce critic Piers Morgan, leaving the couple reportedly "shell shocked."
Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Surprised By What Princess Eugenie Did?
Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson's daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, had a night out with Morgan at The Princess Royal pub in Notting Hill, West London. They were reportedly with other big celebrity names during the sighting.
The princesses were seen giggling and joking around Morgan when they left the building. The report about the outing left the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shellshocked, Express reported.
An insider also spoke with OK! Magazine about the issue and claimed that the Sussexes couldn't believe that the York princesses had "gone behind their backs." The source said:
"After everything Piers has said about them as a couple – especially Meghan, who he's called so many names – Harry and Meghan are astonished that they've gone behind their backs."
The tipster added:
"It will be interesting to see how Harry interacts with his cousins during the coronation."
The source alleged that Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie wanted to secure a slot on Morgan's TalkTV show. The royal siblings have reportedly asked their uncle, King Charles' permission to appear on the program.
Another tipster gave the outlet a previous of the princess' rumored interview.
"It won't be a Harry and Meghan-style interview, because they have requested permission from the King and the interview will portray the family in a very positive light. Eugenie and Beatrice are keen to put their side across and talk about their new lives."
Princess Eugenie And Prince Harry Rumored Feuding Revisited
Princess Eugenie and Prince Harry are very close growing up. Royal biographers Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand covered their close bond in the book Finding Freedom: Harry And Meghan And The Making Of A Modern Royal Family.
Scobie and Durand wrote:
"Eugenie had always been more than just a cousin to Harry. They were also the closest of friends. Out of all the Queen's grandchildren, Harry and Eugenie have one of the most natural connections. Like Harry, Eugenie is loyal, honest and great fun. The two had many nights out together in London."
However, Charlotte Griffiths, editor at large at Mail on Sunday, claimed that there was a falling out between the two royals. Griffiths said on GB News that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex took offense at Sarah Ferguson's interview when she mentioned that in the firm, "You're either in or out."
The Duchess of York didn't mention the Sussexes. However, her words allegedly didn't sit well with them.
The Sussexes' ill feelings toward Ferguson also reportedly didn't sit well with Princess Eugenie. According to Griffith, the princess is more loyal to her mom, Fergie, than her cousin Prince Harry.
Griffith said:
"The thing about Eugenie is that she's very loyal to Harry, but there's no one she's more loyal to than her own mother. Those girls, her and her sister [Princess Beatrice] adore their mother."
She added:
"Fergie has been doing a round of interviews to promote her new book recently in which lightly touched on the subject of Meghan very carefully, said nothing that much controversial but what I'm hearing is that of course, Meghan and Harry have taken great offense, it's all very awkward, and that has caused tensions with Eugenie, that's what I'm hearing."
