Prince Harry and James Hewitt have been linked by the paternity rumors that have swirled for years. The issue resurfaced after Queen Elizabeth passed away.
Is Prince Harry James Hewitt's Son?
Her Majesty died Thursday and her death led to several changes in the monarchy. King Charles ascended the throne and this put the spotlight on his relationships and family life.
So, why do people think James Hewitt is Prince Harry's biological son? Apparently, many felt that there was a striking resemblance between the British former cavalry officer and the Duke of Sussex.
"As Harry was growing up, his likeness to Hewitt became more and more apparent," a source told Radar Online. "From the reddish-brown hair, to the blue eyes, body language and similarities in build are uncanny."
Author Nicholas Davies, who has written numerous royal books, including Diana: The Lonely Princess, claimed that there are chances Hewitt is Prince Harry's biological dad because he and Princess Diana reportedly had a relationship before he was born.
"Hewitt was seen inside Charles and Diana's Kensington Palace home on several occasions in 1983 — 12 months before Harry was born," Davies claimed as quoted by Radar Online.
He also alleged that Prince Charles was aware of Princess Diana and Hewitt's affair. He further claimed that the late Princess of Wales wasn't sure whose Prince Harry's real dad.
"Only Charles, a few close friends and the Royal protection police were aware that Diana was Hewitt's lover before Harry's birth," Davies continued. "And the reality is, she wasn't sure who was Harry's father. In her heart, she wanted it to be Hewitt, and she suspected that it was more likely to be him than her husband."
James Hewitt Denied Prince Harry Paternity Rumors
James Hewitt previously claimed that he only met Princess Diana at a dinner party in 1985, a year after Prince Harry was born. He doubled down his claim in his interview with Australia's Channel Seven segment Sunday Night when he was asked if he was Prince Harry's biological father.
"No, I’m not," Hewitt replied, Marie Claire reported.
When pressed further on why the paternity rumor persists and why people still believed it, he responded: "It sells papers. It’s worse for [Harry], probably, poor chap."
Many were convinced that the rumor was true because Prince Harry and Hewitt share the same shades of hair color, which is in Spencer's genes.
Also, royal photographer Chris Jackson shared a throwback photo of the late Duke of Edinburgh when he was 36 years old on Instagram. Apparently, Prince Harry is a spitting image of his late grandfather.

The photo was the cover of the 1957 issue of Paris Match. Several netizens mistakenly thought the man on the cover was Meghan Markle's husband.
"I thought Prince Harry 😮he looks like him they keeping saying no resemblance to any body in the royal see now exactly like him 😍," one commented.
"No question about it! Prince Harry looks exactly like his Grandfather Prince Philip!" another added.
"Wow I thought it was Harry also," a third user added. A fourth royal fan wrote, "My goodness first look I thought it was Harry."
"Harry’s grandfather!!! Wow strong look alike!!!" a fifth user opined.
