This week, ITV is scheduled to release a documentary centered on the Duchess of Cornwall on the occasion of her 75th birthday. And to the surprise of royal fans, Prince Charles isn’t featured in the program. Some were surprised and thought that the future king was snubbed.
However, royal expert Neil Sean clarified that this wasn’t the case. In fact, he said that it must have been Prince Charles’ decision not to take part in the documentary because he wants his wife to shine.
“He wanted the focus to be on Camilla. For her to shine, [and] her to have a moment. This actually just proves what a kind and caring man he truly is,” he said (via Express).

Sean also claimed that Camilla still gets backlash these days even though more royal fans have warmed up to her. So, Prince Charles is still figuring out ways how he can endear his wife more to the public.
“Let’s not forget, earlier this year, in February, our wonderful monarch of 70 years decreed that now she would like, in the fullness of time, for Camilla to be known as Queen Consort. So, all of this, the guest editor of the magazine, the forthcoming documentary, and the very quiet celebrations of the 75th birthday are, of course, to alert the wonderful people of our great Commonwealth that this will be the future of the monarchy,” he said.

Camilla Parker Bowles, Kate Middleton Teamed Up For The Former’s Magazine Project
Other than ITV’s documentary, Camilla was also invited to guest-edit the anniversary editing of Country Life magazine. Her photos that will be featured on the pages of the magazine were taken by her daughter-in-law, Kate Middleton.
During a recent interview, Carol Vorderman talked about Camilla and Middleton’s relationship and said that the two get along well with each other.
“Also, on the family, not just her relationship with Prince Charles but Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, took the photographs. She really is a very good photographer, and they are very close, the two of them,” she said (via Express).
Filmmaker Michael Waldman also weighed in on the photos of Camilla that Middleton took.
“Camilla talked about that, the taking of the photograph, which obviously was a coup for Country Life to get that. She described how it was relaxed there was no hair and make-up, they had a laugh, and it was just the two of them. That photograph was taken by her dresser, I think, so not even Country Life was there, but Camilla talked to us and Country Life about taking that photograph. She and Kate get on, and there is a relaxed sense in it, and obviously, Camilla chose Catherine, as she calls her, to do so because they get on well. She knows to have a good and relaxed portrait, the photographer is important, from Camilla's point of view that it was, it was a lovely experience, and it comes across in the results,” he said.
