There is little doubt that Prey has all the potential of getting a sequel but what can we expect in the second film? Amber Midthunder shares her thoughts on Naru's Comanche tribe possibly facing a Predator invasion after the events in the 2022 movie.
Amber Midthunder Addresses Possible Prey Sequel
In an interview with Collider, Amber Midthunder shared her thoughts about Naru's future now that more of the Predators could return to Earth. Not surprisingly, Midhunter admitted that she believes Naru will be preparing her people for an alien invasion.
“That was always how I felt about it because, you know, the movie is such a journey that definitely as the character by the end it feels like — well, also, there’s the — I think that it does in part feel like that," she said.
"I think it's a hope for the best, prepare for the worst kind of a situation," Midthunder added.
"I think that it feels as though they're not gonna come back, but there are ultimately obviously all kinds of threats out there that are unforeseen," she stated.
She continued, "Even like the French fur trappers in that interaction and stuff like that, those are all discoveries of things that are out there that they had no idea about."
"So I think that it's not necessarily preparing for more predators or whatever; I think it's just there [are] unforeseen threats and we gotta be ready,” Midthunder concluded.
It certainly makes sense considering that Naru's world changed drastically and it wasn't just because of the Predator's arrival. Needless to say, we're expecting Naru and her tribe to be better warriors when Prey 2 gets the greenlight.
For now, Prey has not yet been confirmed for a second film. However, there is little doubt that the Predator franchise will be announcing its future projects soon. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
