Powerhouse Animation Teases Big Castlevania Announcement

Netflix's Castlevania might just be the greatest video game adaptation ever released. Thanks to a hard R rating and some wonderful animation, we were treated to four wonderful episodes that fans want more of. Since it's going to be the series' first year anniversary, studio Powerhouse Animation has teased a big announcement regarding the series' future.

The company teased this on Twitter, with many assuming that the announcement is a release date for season two. It's doubtful that the news can be about anything else since fans were promised something big about the series for several months now.

Since the first season was only four episodes long, many are hoping that the second season has more of them. It would be disappointing to wait a full year for a series to come back, only to wake up to only four episodes. Here is hoping we get at least double that amount or more.

Rather than do a regular adaptation of one of the many Castlevania games, the series actually tells an original story that focuses on the now-disgraced Belmont clan. It also has Dracula in a much more sympathetic nature, choosing to attack humanity after his wife was killed for trying to spread knowledge.

Expect news on Castlevania season two later this week.
