Possible Plot Leak for Spider-Man: Homecoming Sequel

[WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR AVENGERS 4]

Though we did get to see Spider-Man die in Infinity War, everyone is already sure that he's coming back since the first MCU film coming out after Avengers 4 is the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel. Thanks to Reddit (via ComicBookMovie), we have some possible plot points leaked for the movie.

According to the leak, the sequel is set to be titled Spider-Man: Field Trip, and will focus on Spider-Man coping with the death of Tony Stark in Avengers 4. Peter is said to be looking for a MacGuffin that Stark has left behind, which has since been stolen by Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal). A majority of the film is said to be taking place in London, and Peter will be reluctantly joined by MI6 agent Jessica Drew (Spider-Woman) who is also after Mysterio.

Some more info suggests that Mysterio was hired by a major villain which some are guessing to be Norman Osborn a.k.a. The Green Goblin. Sony is said to be looking for an A-List actor to be cast in the role, and we should get the official reveal when the movie comes out.

For now, we should just take this information with a grain of salt, but it does sound like a convincing follow-up to Homecoming. Hopefully this time around, Sony doesn't spoil the entire plot through the trailers.

As someone who's exposed to a lot of speculation, I just hope the movie has some surprises that no one was able to guess.

The Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel is set to come out July 5, 2019.
