I'll admit, I already thought the choice to have him wear armor in Justice League was great, but I won't be opposed to a comic-accurate costume eventually coming up in the films. Though I do love the scaly texture of the outfit, I think the design of the gloves and boots is a bit much. Then again, that's just my opinion.

Looking at the weapon, though, it's Aquaman wielding the signature trident from the comics. Some have thought that he was already holding the trident when we meet him in Batman v Superman, but that was actually a quindent owned by Mera. This one looks to be some kind of royal artifact.

Admittedly, Aquaman was not the trailer that blew everyone away at the last SDCC, but everyone is still excited to see where this movie is going. After a long hiatus thanks to Justice League, some fans are just happy to see the DCEU coming back to the big screen. Hopefully James Wan and his team won't get as much backlash as the other DCEU films.

As of now, only Wonder Woman has managed to come off unscathed.

Aquaman finds himself caught between a surface world that ravages the sea and the underwater Atlanteans who are ready to revolt.

Aquaman is set for a release on Dec. 21.
