Pokemon The Movie: Everyone's Story Gets Name Change for US Release

Pokemon The Movie: Everyone's Story is getting a name change as it heads to the US this year for a limited theatrical release. Now called Pokemon The Movie: The Power of Us, it will come out November 24, 26, and 28, as well as December 1 via a limited theatrical release by Fathom Events.

To celebrate the film coming to the US, a new teaser trailer with the series' English cast has been released. It reveals a bit more than the Japanese teaser trailer, giving us a better look at some of the film's characters as well as their Pokemon. Team Rocket is also shown briefly and they look fine in this awesome new animation style.

While the name has changed to The Power of Us, the story is pretty much the same. Ash and Pikachu stumble upon a small town that pays tribute to Lugia, a legendary Pokemon that saved the town many years ago via its wind powers. But when a series of incidents threatens not just the festival, but all the people and Pokémon who call the town home, it's going to take more than just Ash and Pikachu to save the day, as they team up with a variety of characters and their Pokemon.

Pokemon The Movie: The Power of Us isn't just a retelling of Ash meeting Lugia but also the debut of Zeraora, a new legendary Pokemon. It's also the second film in the I Choose You series that is set in its own universe and isn't connected to the main anime.
