Pokémon Horizons is about to switch things up with its upcoming arc. Recently, the Pokémon Horizons Terastal Debut arc release date was announced via the show’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, and it was revealed via a new teaser visual.
Aside from the release date, the visual also hinted at some big developments to come in the next arc.
Next Pokémon Horizons Anime Arc Gets New Visual
Since the Pokémon Horizons anime premiered in Japan back in April 2023, the show has gotten over 40 episodes. These can be divided into two arcs, with the second arc beginning in episode 29.
With the second arc set to wrap up in just a few episodes, a new visual for the third arc titled Terastal Debut has been released.
This new visual highlights many of the Pokémon and human characters that will play a big role in the upcoming arc.
Perhaps the most interesting detail revealed in the arc is that it features Liko, Roy, and Dot in school uniforms. This should mean that the next arc will be set in school.
On top of the school setting, the visual also reveals that Liko’s Sprigatito will evolve into Floragato. This development shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise given that it was foreshadowed in episode 40.
Finally, while Captain Pikachu is in the teaser, Friede isn’t. This implies that Friede will not be a central character in the new arc.

Pokémon Horizons Terastal Debut Arc Gets April Release Date in Japan
Fans in Japan will be happy to know that the Pokémon Horizons Terastal Debut arc will be released on April 12, 2024.
Based on its release date, it should mean that the anime’s third arc will begin on episode 47 unless there will be a gap week in the release schedule.

When Will the Pokémon Horizons Terastal Debut Arc Be Released in the US? Our Predictions
While the third arc will premiere in Japan in just a few weeks, fans in the US will need to wait a bit longer to watch Terastal Debut.
The show’s official English version only premiered in the US on Netflix on March 7. Instead of getting a weekly release, the first 12 episodes of the anime were released on the 7th.
For now, there’s no word on when the next set of episodes will be released on Netflix in the US. Based on the release strategy though, it seems fans will need to wait a bit longer for the next 12 episodes.
Once the next set of episodes is released, we should get a good idea of when to expect the third arc to be available in the US.
