After the initial announcement, Pokemon GO has finally added some of the monsters from Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. Fans have been looking forward to catching these Gen 4 monsters so fans who haven't yet, should download the game's latest update. So, without further ado here are some of the Gen 4 Pokemon that fans can now catch in the game.

It's a small list thus far, though more Pokemon will probably be added throughout the day so fans might be able to catch some more monsters. No official details on who is going to be the part of the next batch but expect a mix of fan-favorites and some of the other monsters fans don't care for, just like this batch.
Niantic made a smart move adding the starters from Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum since they are always the most popular in every generation. Choosing your first Pokemon will always feel special so it was necessary to add them in the first wave.
A new trailer was also released, which fans can see above. The trailer shows off some of the new Pokemon that will be a part of the GO world, so fans are one step closer to that Diamond and Pearl remake they've been craving for. If Ruby and Sapphire can get them so can Diamond and Pearl, just not right now.
