Pokemon CEO Says 2019 Game is What Fans Have Been Waiting For

Pokemon Let's Go! Pikachu and Let's Go! Eevee are continuing to get mixed responses from fans, with the hardcore gamers disappointed that it might be appealing to mobile gamers. That's why some are choosing to wait until mid-to-late 2019 when the next core Pokemon game comes out. No new details about the game have been revealed but Pokemon CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara is promising a lot for fans.

Speaking with Famitsu (via Siliconera), Ishihara stated that the next game in the acclaimed series is the one fans have been waiting for. In fact, he said that fans will say that exact thing when the game comes out, which should get the Let's Go haters pumped up.

Apparently, the game will also be completely different from the two Let's Go titles coming out this November, which is going to succeed over the various traditions Game Freak have done over the years. This probably means that the game won't have a Pokemon GO-like catching system, which should put many at ease.

How major the changes will be could be a subject of discussion since Pokemon Sun and Moon already shook up the formula. It got rid of HMs and regular gyms, instead, letting players take part in the Alola Island Challenge. While it did have a Pokemon League in the end, there's no denying that it was different and good.

Pokemon Let's Go! Pikachu and Let's Go! Eevee will come out on November 16.
