The Pokemon anime has received a bit of a resurgence recently, thanks to Ash's big win in the Alola region. Now that he's been teaming up with Go, Ash has been traveling around the world looking for new Pokemon and helping his friend become a better trainer. In the most recent episode of the anime, fans were shocked to see the latest Pokemon Ash has caught; a freaking Dragonite.
Yeah, that isn't a typo. Ash now has one of the best dragon-type Pokemon in his party in Dragonite and fans are excited to see it in action. No one can blame them either since the Pokemon was a huge tank for fans in the video games, absorbing a ton of damage and dishing it out as well.
Fans have been freaking out over Ash's latest catch, enjoying how he helped the Dragonair learn to fly again before it evolved into Dragonite. While fans will always joke about how Ash will never age and how jarring that is, we still can't help but enjoy his exploits and seeing whatever new Pokemon he ends up catching.
Dragonite joins Ash's very Kanto-themed party thus far. Aside from his eternal companion Pikachu, the beloved trainer also has Mr. Mime and now Dragonite. This is a pretty powerful party for Ash and we can't wait to see who else he adds. Here's hoping he catches a Sobble and never evolves it.
