Plot-Details on Sony's Spider-Man Spinoff, Morbius

Though Sony has agreed to share Spider-Man with Marvel, the studio still plans to expand on the other Spidey characters that they still own. We're getting a Venom movie later this year as well as Silver & Black. Now we have details on the Morbius the Living Vampire spinoff.

That Hashtag Show described Morbius:

"Horror action story of a scientist who, in trying to find a cure for a rare blood disease, accidentally transformed himself into a living vampire who, though disgusted by his own bloodlust, chooses to prey upon criminals he deems unworthy of life."

Though some people might think that the concept of vampires is too stranger for the established MCU, it is worth noting that they have already given us a whole branch of Marvel Mystic with Doctor Strange. Why shouldn't we explore the more "horror" aspect of the MCU?

Then again, it's possible that Morbius wouldn't be in the MCU at all. We have yet to confirm if the Venom movie will be part of Marvel Studios' Spider-Verse or something else on its own entirely.

We still don't have a release for Morbius, but catch the first spinoff, Venom, in theaters Oct. 5.
