Plant Horror and Zombies Dominate the Feature-Length Trailer for DC Universe's Swamp Thing

DC Universe seems to be on a roll, thanks to the success of Titans and Doom Patrol. Both shows prove that superhero serials are a great way to highlight lesser-known characters and it's why a lot of people are excited for Swamp Thing. DC has decided to release a full-length trailer to hype up the series' debut on May 31 and it is one hell of a frightening experience.

A mysterious virus has infected a small town and it all seems to be coming from a swamp. This soon leads to a number of chilling developments, including people dying and horrific zombie-like creatures coming out of nowhere.

It seems like Abby Arcane will be the series' main protagonist, with Alec Holland just being a supporting character in the series. Since many of us are expecting Holland to turn into the Swamp Thing, it will be interesting to see if the series decides to slowly turn Holland to the comic book monster rather than do it right away.

The major concern fans have with this series is knowing that it was cut from 13 episodes to 10. While that means people are in for a breezy watch, fans are worried that this will lead to a big decrease in quality. Hopefully, that isn't the case, and we get a great horror-themed superhero show.

Swamp Thing debuts on May 31.
