Brie Larson's Captain Marvel may have just recently been introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but there's this odd theory going out there saying that Carol Danvers may have dated Guardians of the Galaxy fan-favorite character, Peter Quill (Chris Pratt).
According to a theory posted on Reddit by Alexandrite1234, there seems to be a possibility that Star-Lord and Carol Danvers were once an item at some point throughout the timeline of the MCU. Pratt once referred to dating a "Kree Girl" that nearly ripped out his Thorax in the earlier portions of Guardians of the Galaxy and this Redditor believes that the "Kree Girl" could none other be than Captain Marvel.
While it might seem a bit farfetched, at the latter portion of Guardians of the Galaxy, Quill manages to trick Yondu (Michael Rooker) with a Trolls doll. Coincidentally, we also find a Trolls doll in Mar-Vells' space lab hovering outside of earth in Captain Marvel.
It seems like an interesting theory. After all, Captain Marvel was set in the 90s. Given that the film is 18 years apart from Guardians of the Galaxy, it is possible that Captain Marvel and Star-Lord could have dated. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is expansive, and it would definitely be interesting to learn that the two once tried to date one another.
Of course, Marvel fans would probably disagree with this theory. Why didn't Captain Marvel recognize Star-Lord in Avengers: Endgame? Besides, Carol Danvers isn't necessarily Kree. She might have Kree blood, but Carol is a human being.
