PETA Petitions Taika Waititi to Turn Fat Thor Vegan in Thor: Love and Thunder

It looks like PETA doesn't really like Bro Thor as much as fans did when they saw Avengers: Endgame.

Suffering from the loss of his brother and most of his people in Avengers: Infinity War, Chris Hemsworth's Asgardian God of Thunder put on a lot of weight in Endgame. As much as fans loved Bro Thor in the film, there have been a lot of concerns about whether Thor would have the same physique in Thor: Love and Thunder.

Now it looks like PETA's sharing its thoughts on Bro Thor.

Asked by a Marvel fan whether Thor would keep his large physique in Love and Thunder, Marvel director Taika Waititi could only respond that his creative team hasn't really figured out whether Bro Thor would be part of his next Thor movie. PETA decided to pitch their own idea for the Asgardian God of Thunder – Thor should return to his physically fit form by going on an animal-friendly vegan diet (via ComicBook.com).

According to PETA, having Thor go vegan would be the perfect response to Waititi's problem with Bro Thor. Not only would showcase a healthy diet, but it would reflect the real-life choices of Chris Hemsworth as well.

"Chris Hemsworth went vegan while filming the original Thor and The Avengers films, and other Marvel Cinematic Universe stars like Benedict Cumberbatch and Natalie Portman are powered by plants," says PETA Senior VP Lisa Lange.

While some Marvel fans might not agree with turning Thor vegan, we're sure that Hemsworth wouldn't really mind. He'd probably be happy to play a character that represents the kind of life that he lives.
