The Mandalorian had a massive change in creative direction for its third season, something that diehard fans of the Star Wars spinoff show were fairly divided on. A lot of viewers have been complaining that Din Djarin and Grogu were seemingly relegated to being side characters in Season 3 with Bo-Katan Kryze being put in the spotlight more.

What many have failed to realize is there's an actual reason for the show being forced to sideline its main duo. You see, according to reports, lead star Pedro Pascal was barely on set due to Season 3's filming coinciding with The Last of Us' production, a show which also stars the actor.

Pascal's scheduling conflict reportedly created a ton of issues for The Mandalorian during production but thankfully, the folks behind the show were able to work with what they have. Now, you may be asking, could this become an issue in the future? Well, the chances are actually pretty high.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Pascal offered some promising update regarding his future as the famed bounty hunter, revealing that as long as there's a story to be told involving Din, he'd like to continue playing the role.

As for the possibility of him actually showing up on set like he did in the first two seasons, the Chilean actor seemingly hinted that he'll stick to doing voice work for the show with his body double filming Mando's scenes for him.

Pascal said: "And even if I can't fit into the suit, somebody can". He was probably just messing around but his "minimal" work on Season 3 might end up becoming a recurring theme in future seasons, especially with Pascal's career on the rise.
