There's no denying that Pedro Pascal's career was launched to the stratosphere following his involvement in The Mandalorian. Despite the actor not being physically present during most of the show's filming, we can all agree that no other actor can pull off the part.

This is why the Star Wars series has been going strong since 2019, spawning several spinoffs including The Book of Boba Fett and Ahsoka and an upcoming film titled The Mandalorian & Grogu, effectively launching its own shared universe.

However, there were growing concerns over Pascal's future as the beloved bounty hunter, especially after he revealed last year that he only lent his voice for the third season. Of course, we all know how that went. Now, the actor is opening up about his potential exit from the franchise.

In a recent interview with the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, the Chilean star opened up about his breakout Star Wars role, admitting that he wasn't physically involved for much of the first season.

Admittedly, Pascal's schedule would often get in the way, but they could make arrangements. He's also well aware that he could easily be recast so when asked by the interviewer if there's any possibility of him ever getting fired from the show, Pascal said: "No. God, I hope not!"

As it stands, Pascal's schedule remains quite packed with several projects, including his rumored involvement in Marvel Studios' Fantastic Four all lined up for production this year.

With The Mandalorian & Grogu also set to begin filming later this year, we're hopeful that Pedro will be able to commit fully to the project because, after all, it's Mando and Grogu's big-screen break.

All three seasons of The Mandalorian are available to stream on Disney+.
