For many years, the DC Extended Universe has been considered a convoluted mess by the comic book community but one James Gunn proved that there's still hope for the franchise. Since the show's debut last month, it has generated a pretty positive response from fans and critics and even surpassed shows like The Witcher and The Book of Boba Fett in terms of streaming demand and popularity. Having the right mix of action, fun, and heart, each episode of the HBO Max series gets progressively better.

Speaking of, the eighth and final episode of Peacemaker blew everyone away as it featured a cameo appearance from Justice League members Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and The Flash. Jason Momoa and Ezra Miller reprised their roles while Clark Kent and Diana Prince were played by stand-in actors, while characters like Cyborg and Batman were noticeably absent during the specific scene which left a lot of viewers baffled.

While it would've been neat to see the JL lineup complete in the finale, their appearance on Peacemaker is still a monumental feat for everyone involved and it definitely tells you that Christopher Smith will have future run-ins with the DCEU's heroic ensemble. Now that he's pretty much considered a hero in the franchise, it'll be interesting to see if there's a spot for him in the League.

All eight episodes of Peacemaker are now available for streaming on HBO Max.
