Fans cannot wait for AppleTV+'s newest mini-series starring Paul Rudd and Will Ferrell. The Shrink Next Door offers us a look at the two actors completely playing serious roles, very much opposite from their usual comedic go-to.

The Shrink Next Door follows Martin Markowitz (Will Ferrell) and his therapist, Isaac Herschkopf (Paul Rudd), as they inevitably break down the barrier between patient and doctor in the most twisted ways.

What Is The Plot Of The Shrink Next Door?

The premise of AppleTV+'s The Shrink Next Door is all about the manipulation of a stronger-willed mind to that of a weaker and feebler thinker. Paul Rudd will play as the manipulative shrink, who tries to take control of Ferrell's mind. On the other hand, Ferrell heads a family garment business but struggles with his mental health, and Isaac becomes Martin's only confidante.

It seemingly is great between the two at the start of their sessions. But, the boundary between doctor and patient slowly breaks down as Isaac slowly manipulates his way into Martin's personal and social life. Martin has no idea what is happening to him and thinks Isaac has become somewhat a best friend and is no longer just his therapist.

The trailer for The Shrink Next Door was released recently. The two-minute video showed the growing relationship between the two, wherein Rudd seemingly offers a friendly hand to Ferrell's Martin Markowitz. Martin can be seen introducing Isaac as his psychiatrist, business partner, and best friend; little does he know, Rudd has other plans.

When Will The Shrink Next Door Be Available?

The Shrink Next Door will be made available on AppleTV+ on Nov. 12, 2021. It will be directed by Michael Showalter, who is a frequent collaborator of Paul Rudd. Showalter also directed Wet Hot American Franchise and Search Party.
