Patty Jenkins Already has Plans for Wonder Woman 3

Wonder Woman was the first big hit for the DCEU and a lot of credit goes to director Patty Jenkins. Jenkins is currently working on the Wonder Woman sequel for next year, but she explains that she already has plans for a third movie.

Talking to Vanity Fair, Jenkins explains, "I have pretty clear plans for Wonder Woman 3… Whether I [direct] it or not, I see how her arc should end in my incarnation of Wonder Woman. I have great passion for that."

Originally Wonder Woman 1984 was set to come out this November, but the release was pushed way back into June of 2020. Fans shouldn't worry though, as this decision comes as a more strategic move as compared to having to compensate for troubles within production.

As far as we know, Jenkins is getting to make the movie she wants, and if all goes well, we could pretty much get the green light for a third Wonder Woman film. To think, the DCEU has been going on since 2013, and we have yet to get at least one full trilogy.

We don't know much about the specifics of the plot for Wonder Woman 84, but we do know that it will have Diana in the 80s during the Cold War. It's said that Kristen Wiig's Cheetah is the main villain, but a lot of fans speculate that the real villain is a god in disguise—most likely whoever Pedro Pascal is playing.

Wonder Woman 1984 comes out June 5, 2020.
