Paris Hilton’s Career
The 41-year-old is the great-granddaughter of Conrad Hilton, founder of Hilton Hotels. She started to be a fixture in NYC’s social scene in the late 1990s and began modelling at 19 after signing with Donald Trump’s agency, Trump Model Management.
She became New York’s leading It Girl in 2001 after she and her sister, Nicky, graced the September 2000 issue of Vanity Fair, photographed by David LaChapelle.
Hilton eventually rose to stardom when she did the reality TV series The Simple Life with Nicole Richie and her 2001 sex tape with her then-boyfriend Rick Salomon leaker.
Come 2004, she published her debut book, Confessions of an Heiress, becoming a New York Times Best Seller. She had her first major film role in the horror remake House of Wax in 2005 and released her eponymous debut album, Paris, in 2006.
From there, she made a number of TV and movie projects, recorded standalone songs, performed as a DJ, and did other media ventures.
In 2001, she started her own podcast, This is Paris.
Hilton uses her media fame to build her own empire. She has produced content for broadcast media, launched several product lines, and opened a chain of self-branded boutiques worldwide and an urban beach club in the Philippines.

Hilton has endorsed 17 fragrances, generating more than $2 billion in gross revenue. The majority of her net worth comes from her fragrance royalties, which create a 20 to 30 percent cut in profits.

Paris Hilton is Now a Mom
Hilton is now a mom. The media personality and her husband, Carter Reum, welcomed their first child, a son, via surrogate.
"It's always been my dream to be a mother, and I'm so happy that Carter and I found each other," she told People exclusively. "We are so excited to start our family together, and our hearts are exploding with love for our baby boy."
