It feels like it wasn't that long ago that Overwatch gave is Brigitte, but now they've announced their new champion—a mech-driving hamster.

I'll be honest, I thought the concept of having an animal as a playable hero in Overwatch was ridiculous, but then I remembered that Winston is actually a giant gorilla that invents things. We don't have a name for this new hero yet, but some guess that he is one of the Horizon Lunar Colony experiments named Hammond.
While I am one of the fans who was eager to have "Jetpack Cat" enter the fray, I think the devs at Blizzard have some interesting backstory planned for this new character. Hopefully he blends in along with everyone else. Just imagine what kind of interactions this guy will have with Reaper or Moira.
No doubt Blizzard will reveal some more about the character in the future. So far, we know that his mech rolls like a droideka from Star Wars; more info will hopefully be dropped soon. I'm curious if he actually runs around the arena after his mech is destroyed—much like D. Va.
No release date has been announced for Hero 28.
