Netflix's Outer Banks Season 3 is coming, but before the new season arrives, one of its stars took it to social media to reveal his new look, and that Outer Banks star is Chase Stokes, who recently debuted his new hairstyle that left some of his fans speechless and devastated.
The 30-year-old actor, who plays John B. Rudledge in Netflix's teen drama, took it to Instagram to share a photo dump in which Stokes celebrated 30 with a series of photos including one shot that revealed his new haircut. The OBX star's signature long and wavy locks are gone, as he's now rocking a tight new hairstyle.
Stokes is known for his long hair, which is signature to his role in Outer Banks, so it's easy to see why his new look has caught fans by surprise. “You literally just shocked the whole world,” commented a fan. “We weren’t ready for that, Chase,” echoed another.
So, why did Chase Stokes get a new haircut? The actor didn't directly comment on his new look, he's expected to star in the upcoming film, The Valiant One.
In the movie, Stokes plays a member of a group of U.S. Army non-combat tech soldiers who must come together to protect a civilian tech specialist and find a way out of North Korea after their helicopter crashes on the North Korean side of the Korean Demilitarized Zone. However, it's still unclear if this was the reason of his new look, the fact that his role as a member of military seems to suggest that this is why he decided to get a new haircut.
