As fans await more info on the show’s second season, the anime is treating them to an adorable new collab. After several teasers, Oshi no Ko unveiled its complete Sanrio collab that features Hello Kitty and other popular characters.
This new collab was initially teased with a series of posts on the Oshi no Ko official X (formerly Twitter) account.
These teasers were composed of new visuals featuring Oshi no Ko’s characters and their Sanrio counterparts.
Oshi no Ko Reveals Complete Sanrio Collab Featuring Hello Kitty and More
Oshi no Ko may explore some darker themes about the Japanese entertainment industry, but its bright and colorful style makes it a perfect partner for the ever-popular Sanrio brand.
Because of this, it makes sense that Oshi no Ko teamed up with Sanrio for a new collab. Then again, the new collab is no surprise given that the anime has gotten a ton of crossover merch over the past months.
The collab’s first teaser is a new visual of Ai Hoshino with Kiki and Lala aka Little Twin Stars. After this visual was shared on October 6, a new image was posted every day since then, featuring new illustrations.
Here’s a list of the Oshi no Ko characters in the collab, along with their Sanrio counterparts:
- Ai Hoshino – Little Twin Stars
- Aqua Hoshino – Cinnamoroll
- Ruby Hoshino – Hello Kitty
- Kana Arima – My Melody
- Akane Kurokawa – Kuromi
- Mem-cho - Pompompurin
These combinations are perfect fits, except maybe for Aqua. After all, Ai Hoshino and Little Twin Stars can be seen as a reference to Ai’s twins.
Meanwhile, Kana and Akane being My Melody and Kuromi are perfect given the rivalry of these characters.

Oshi no Ko’s Sanrio Collab Features Lots of New Merch
The collab doesn’t end with illustrations though. Much like Sanrio’s other anime collabs, such as the previous Attack on Titan one, this crossover features a new selection of merch.
As expected, these goodies include keychains, acrylic stands, and more. All the items feature the new Sanrio illustrations.
These merch may not be unique, but they’re still cute enough that Oshi no Ko fans will no doubt be tempted to get them.
Fans who want to get these goodies can do so through a lottery on the official website.
The lottery period is from October 19 to November 16, 2023. The items will then be shipped in March to April 2024.
