Oshi no Ko Episode 8 Reveals the Third Member of the New B-Komachi

After a short 1-week break, Oshi no Ko Episode 8 has finally been released, and it reveals the third member of the new B-Komachi, and it’s none other than Mem-cho.

Early in the season, Ruby Hoshino decides that she wants to pursue her dream of becoming an idol.

Thus, her adoptive mother Miyako and brother Aqua decide that Ichigo Productions should make a new idol group.

After successfully recruiting Kana, the latest episode showed Aqua making another successful idol recruitment pitch.

Oshi no Ko Episode 8 Features End of Reality Dating Show Arc

But before Aqua can recruit Mem-cho, the latest Oshi no Ko episode opened with Aqua being in shock by how well Akane was able to capture Ai Hoshino’s mannerisms when she acted like her.

What shocked him, even more, is that Akane surmised that Ai may have had kids at a young age. This spurred Aqua into thinking about how he can take advantage of Akane’s deduction skills.

By the end of the reality dating show, Aqua goes to kiss Akane, so they become a couple, at least for business purposes.

As highlighted in the episode, Kana has some obvious feelings for Aqua, even though Aqua doesn’t seem to notice it.

Because of this, Kana is sent into a depressive mood after seeing the reality dating show’s last episode.

With the end of this new arc, Oshi no Ko is gearing up to start its next arc for the show’s final three episodes.

And based on what happened, the upcoming arc will be about the new B-Komachi.

Mem-cho Completes the New B-Komachi Lineup

As shown in Episode 5, Ruby and Kana finally revealed they are the new B-Komachi members in Pieyon’s dance video.

Since then, Ruby and Kana have taken a backseat story-wise. Soon though, the attention will likely shift back to them as they will be joined by a new member.

Near the end of Episode 8, Mem-cho reveals to Aqua that she originally wanted to become an idol. Sending the opportunity, Aqua recruits her to join B-Komachi.

While the episode ends with Mem-cho not explicitly saying yes, it’s all but confirmed that she will join.

After all, the anime’s opening foreshadows this in one of the idol concert segments.

Given that Mem-cho is a favorite among fans, many were delighted that the episode gave her time to shine.

Many also remarked about how she’s becoming a highlight character because of her bubbly yet caring personality.
