Poe Dameron's arc has wrapped up along with the Skywalker Saga in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. While the chances of his return are unlikely, is Oscar Isaac open to returning to the galaxy far, far away?

In a recent interview with Deadline to discuss his upcoming film The Card Counter, the question about Star Wars popped up, with the actor giving quite an expected answer. "I enjoyed the challenge of those films and working with a very large group of incredible artists and actors, prop makers, set designers, and all that was really fun," he said. "It's not really what I set out to do."

"What I set out to do was to make handmade movies, and to work with people that inspire me," the actor added. "Paul [Schrader]'s movies, the things that he's made, it's in my DNA. I'm not alone, obviously."

Isaac pointed out that every actor has films that "made them who they are," which is the case for him in movies like Schrader's. While the actor enjoyed making the Star Wars movies, he admits it's not his normal wheelhouse. When asked if this reduces the chances of his return as Poe, Isaac joked, "Probably, but who knows. If I need another house or something."

His comment isn't entirely a surprise, seeing as this answer echoes that of his comments when asked if he'd be interested to reprise his role for a potential Disney+ series. "Nope," Isaac said, giving a definitive answer.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is currently streaming on Disney+.
