Orlando Bloom Is Also Interested In Becoming Marvel’s Captain Britain

It looks like Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean actor Orlando Bloom is hoping that he might find his way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The English actor just recently spoke with BBC Radio 2 about the success of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, and somehow the discussion with the publication moved on to other huge franchises like the MCU.

Bloom not only revealed that he was a comic book fan, he also admitted that he wouldn't mind if Marvel cast him as Captain Britain.

"I do read [Marvel Comics] a little bit," Bloom told the publication. "Who's the British one? Captain Britain! There you go. Terrible costume, though. And you've also got Captain America so what are you going to do? Captain Britain versus Captain America?"

Orlando isn't the first actor to express interest in Captain Britain. Even Simon Pegg has his eyes set on the character on too.

Though there are fans who're curious to know who'd win in a fight between Captain America (Chris Evans) and Captain Britain, it seems like a pretty unlikely scenario at this point in the MCU. Right now Steve Rogers is just way too busy dealing with the aftermath of Thanos' finger-snapping massacre in Avengers: Infinity War. Besides, there's certainly been a lot of speculation saying that Captain America might actually end up sacrificing his life in Avengers 4. After all, Evans has confirmed that he'll be leaving Marvel after Avengers 4.

Avengers: Infinity War is currently screening in cinemas.
