With the live-action movie’s release coming soon, fans will be able to watch the classic as the original Saint Seiya anime is now streaming on Crunchyroll.
The show was released on Crunchyroll during the weekend, and it features the remastered English dub.
This gives fans a chance to watch the iconic classic to get ready for the much-anticipated live-action movie.
While this anime isn’t required to understand the film, it’s still definitely a must-watch for anime fans who want to watch an older classic that still holds up today.
Knights of the Zodiac Movie Is Coming to US Cinemas
While it may not be as popular as something like Dragon Ball, Saint Seiya is still a beloved franchise.
Aside from continuing to get animated adaptations in the past years, a live-action film is also coming soon.
Titled Knights of the Zodiac, this movie will first be released in Japanese cinemas later this week on April 28.
Meanwhile, fans in the US will be able to watch the film in theaters beginning May 12.
Starring as Seiya the Pegasus Knight in the movie is Mackenyu, a popular Japanese actor who is known for playing roles in the live-action Chihayafuru, Rurouni Kenshin, and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure movies.
Mackenyu will also play Zoro in Netflix’s upcoming live-action One Piece series, making him an in-demand star for live-action adaptations.
Unlike his previous live-action roles which were produced in Japan, Knights of the Zodiac is an international co-production.
The film is directed by Tomasz Bagiński and stars Madison Iseman, Sean Bean, and Famke Janssen, among others.

Crunchyroll Releases Original Saint Seiya Anime
To celebrate the film’s release, Toei Animation announced Saint Seiya’s release on Crunchyroll. Soon after, Crunchyroll revealed more details about the series release.
Specifically, all 114 episodes of the original anime are available now to stream in North America, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa, with the remastered English dub.
Meanwhile, fans in Latin America can also stream Saint Seiya on Crunchyroll, albeit with Spanish and Portuguese dubs.
Previously, Saint Seiya was available to stream on Netflix. From the looks of it, the streaming giant has likely lost its license to the original show.
Regardless, the first season of the 3D animated Knights of the Zodiac series is still available on Netflix.
Right now, there’s no word yet on whether Crunchyroll will release the original anime in other regions such as Europe.
