It’s fair to say that Yusuke Murata is one of the most renowned manga artists working today thanks to his work on the original Eyeshield 21 manga, as well as the ongoing One-Punch Man Jump remake.

Murata is well-known for his clean and technically impressive art style, and he is also noted for the speed at which he is able to draw his projects.

While Murata is best known for his manga works, he has been dabbling in animation for some time now.

Just recently, Murata announced that he is working on a new anime titled Zaiyuki.

Previously, Murata shared previews of the Zaiyuki anime on his official Twitter account.

While there’s no word yet on when the full version will be released, the previews did reveal the Journey to the West inspiration of the anime.

Aside from this, Murata also worked on an anime short for One-Punch Man back in 2021.

This short along with his other anime works are made alongside Village Studio.

Most anime and manga fans probably know Yusuke Murata as the illustrator of One-Punch Man, though even before that, Murata was already known for being the illustrator of the American football manga Eyeshield 21.

The manga has been over for a decade now, but finally, Murata is making a return to the series with a new anime special as well as an upcoming one-shot.

Murata also shared a preview of the special on Twitter. While it’s less than a minute long, it should still give fans an idea of what to expect.

This isn’t the first time that Eyeshield 21 is getting an anime though, as there was a TV anime series by Gallop that aired between April 2005 to March 2008.

Right now, there’s no word yet on when the new special and one-shot will be released, though we’ll likely get more updates on them soon.
