After a mysterious event was teased recently, One Piece Film: Red just announced that Uta will go on a live tour this December where she will perform her songs from the latest One Piece movie.
Uta’s upcoming TV live tour was announced via the official One Piece Twitter account and website.
On the said channels, an update video featuring Uta herself was shared where she revealed the upcoming live tour to fans.
One Piece Film: Red – Most Successful One Piece Movie to Date
One Piece Film: Red is the 15th feature film in the franchise, and it follows Luffy and the Straw Hat crew as they attend the concert of Uta, the world’s most popular singer.
Unbeknownst to almost everyone except Luffy, Uta is the daughter of Red-Haired Shanks.
Uta is a new character that was made by series creator Eiichiro Oda for the new movie.
While most movie characters are not canon, Uta is officially part of the One Piece canon.
Given her connection to Shanks, the iconic red-haired pirate plays a big role in the film.
Because of this, there was a lot of hype behind the movie ahead of its release.
Upon its Japanese theatrical release, the film more than met the hype as it was praised by critics and fans alike.
It also quickly became the top-earning One Piece film movie ever, breaking box office records in Japan.
Soon after its Japanese release last August, the film was released theatrically in other countries.
In the US, the movie got its general release earlier this month with a massive opening weekend.

Uta's Live Tour in December
The upcoming tour was initially teased a few weeks ago as a mysterious event.
Now, it’s confirmed that the event is a TV live tour, which means Uta will perform in several end-of-year TV programs in Japan.
These programs include the FNS Music Festival on December 14, along with other unannounced programs on December 19, 23, and 28.
Uta will also perform at this year’s Jump Festa on December 18. The tour will then conclude with her NHK New Year program performance on December 31.
While fans won’t be able to see Uta perform “live” in an actual concert, fans can still get a concert-like experience as One Piece Film: Red will run in select cinemas across Japan in the coming weeks.
During these screenings, fans can get Uta tour wristbands or Uta tour balloons while stocks are still available.
