There’s no doubt that One Piece is popular all over the world, but fans in the US may have noticed that the series has gotten even bigger in the country recently. Soon, fans will be treated to a new US collab with the One Piece and LA Rams special crossover event.
This new collab was shared on the social media pages of the anime and the football team. For this crossover, the popular anime will take over SoFi Stadium during one LA Rams game this December.
One Piece’s new collab is just the latest this year as the series continues to get special engagements in the US.
One Piece’s Popularity Continues to Soar in the US
Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece is well over two decades old, and its popularity continues to grow in the US. This is apparent in the various events that have taken place or will happen in 2023.
For instance, this week will see Luffy invade the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day 2023 Parade. This will be the first time Oda’s series is joining the storied parade.
There were also the various One Piece live-action fan events in LA back in August which featured the world premiere of the Netflix series.
Before the Netflix event, Toei Animation also held a special screening for the English dub of One Piece Episode 1000. This event happened during Anime Expo 2023.
Given all these events, 2023 is certainly a banner year for the franchise, but that doesn’t mean the show’s popularity only exploded this year. 2022 also saw lots of big events to coincide with the release of Film: Red.

One Piece and the LA Rams Team Up for a Special Collab
Now, One Piece is gearing up for a collaboration with the Super Bowl LVI champions, the LA Rams.
This collaboration will happen on the 3rd of December when the Rams will play the visiting Cleveland Browns.
As part of this collab, the LA Rams’ home, SoFi Stadium, will feature digital signage featuring the anime’s logo. There will also be LED ribbons that will showcase the anime’s iconic characters.
Finally, the first 10,000 fans who attend the game will be treated to a free One Piece clear bag and sports towel.
This isn’t the first time that the anime got involved in sports. Last year, the Film: Red US general release was announced at the USC Trojans Football Team’s season opener.
