Here’s What Happened Before One Piece Chapter 1091
The title of One Piece Chapter 1090 is Admiral Kizaru, and it features a cover request of Captain Kuro reading a book peacefully with black cats.
The chapter begins with Luffy’s bold introduction about himself, followed by his revelation that the Straw Hat Pirates are in an alliance with Dr. Vegapunk.
He also demands that the nation-sized marine fleet withdraws from around the shore of Egghead Island if they care about York’s safety, much to Kizaru’s anger.
In response, the four members of the Gorosei ask Luffy who is alive with him in Labophase, but before Luffy can casually reveal their number, Usopp and Nami stop him.
Nami says that talking with the Gorosei will only give them information, while Usopp scolds Luffy for underestimating the Marines.
Then, St. Jaygarcia Saturn is shown talking about protecting three important things: the physical safety of York, the Punk Records, which constitute Vegapunk’s brain, and the power plant needed to produce the Mother Flame.
He also adds that everything else can be lost except for those three things
Doberman argues that Rob Lucci and his squad are still on the island, along with the other Cipher Pol agents.
But St. Jaygarcia Saturn says that he’s just considering the worst possible scenario and that it’s more important to them to prioritize the most important factors.
Back at Labophase, Nami hits York due to her complaints. A wounded Robin was then shown, but it was revealed that Shaka and Phytagoras are dead, while four of Vegapunk’s satellites are heavily injured.
On the other hand, Kaku notices that Lucci is whispering, but the latter says that it’s nothing.
Usopp connects with the underground basement to check on the situation, but the surviving Cipher Pol agents demand to get them out of there.
They’re thankful for the Straw Hat Pirates for saving their lives, but they don’t want to stay in the basement next to the seraphims.
Vegapunk assures them that they’re harmless as long as they're inside the bubble shield.
S-Snake also assures them that they are not their concern. As it turns out, S-Snake has the same behavior as Hancock, which explains why she was acting strange, thanks to Luffy.
Although the communications system is working again, Atlas confirms that she still can’t open the frontier dome. They can’t escape from Egghead if they don’t disable the barrier first.
York reveals that she locked everything with a password that she didn’t share with any of the other satellites.
Vegapunk turns to Nami, who shares that the log pose is not pointing to a new destination yet, but she thinks that they can still follow the other directions recorded in Wano.
One of them is pointing North-East from Egghead, where Elbaf is located, as confirmed by Vegapunk.
While Luffy and Usopp are excited to go to Elbaf, Vegapunk comes up with an escape plan that involves the Vegaforce 01, which is already stationed next to Thousand Sunny.
Vegapunk assumes that the Vegaforce 01 can carry them all through the marine blockade, while Franky confirms that Thousand Sunny can fly a straight full kilometer and take over afterward.
But Atlas insists that they still need to disable the Frontier Dome before they can escape.
Vegapunk also decided to hack through York’s password to finally carry out his well-thought-out plan. He also asked Lilith to command the Vegaforce 01 after they were able to disable the barrier.
That’s when Lilith, Luffy, Franky, and Bonney start rushing out of Labophase in order to move the Thousand Sunny to the other side.
They need to hurry because the barrier might open at any time, but this also means that they will be vulnerable to enemy fire.
On the contrary, Lucci has been sending intel to the marine fleet, allowing St. Jaygarcia Saturn to mock Luffy, who believed he was in control of the whole situation. Kizaru agrees, saying that the Straw Hats are still cornered like rats.
St. Jaygarcia Saturn wants Kizaru to go through the defense system of the Frontier Dome, but the latter is adamant about not doing it because of Sentomaru.
In addition, Sentomaru will surely order the mecha sea beast weapons and the 50 pacifistas under his command to sink their fleet, which will result in massive casualties.
However, Kizaru says that Lucci has sent all the information they need. The battle stations were then asked to prepare for the assault, particularly the Rokushiki users, who were ordered to be on standby.
Kizaru began raiding the island with his Sacred Yata Mirror attack, but Sentomaru is more than determined to deal with him by using all of the Pacifista units under his command.
Before the chapter ends, Luffy and the others finally arrived at Thousand Sunny, but they were surprised to see a strange light coming from below them.
Luffy was then shown with a panicked expression as he sensed someone strong coming after them.
