Here’s What Happened Before One Piece Chapter 1079
Stussy and Sentomaru discuss the goals of the world government with the Den Den Mushi. She reveals that the World Government directed the CP0 to eliminate Dr. Vegapunk and await the arrival of Kizaru on Egghead Island.
Worse, the World Government considers the situation on Egghead Island to be even more serious than that on Ohara for two reasons: first, Dr. Vegapunk continued Ohara's forbidden research, and second, Egghead Island possesses combat strength that Ohara lacked.
These reasons are sufficient for the world government to mobilize unexpected forces.
Sentomaru asked Stussy to call him again if anything came up while destroying all of the communication equipment in the labophase.
Sentomaru used this to persuade the residents of Fabriophase to learn from Ohara's history and consider what the Marines would do on Egghead Island.
He also urged everyone to act quickly, do what he says, and flee before the Marines arrived on the island.
On the third floor of Building C's research area, Franky tries to persuade S-Snake to undo the petrification on his right side, as well as Lilith and Usopp's bodies. He also tries to threaten the Seraphim, claiming that he will forgive her once the petrification is removed.
On the other hand, S-Snake ignores Franky and turns toward Pythagoras' head, who demands an explanation for her actions.
To Franky's surprise, S-Snake stomps on Pythagoras' head, causing a massive explosion.
The seraphim started walking away, ignoring everyone, especially Franky, who has partial petrification on his right side.
Chopper, Robin, and Atlas are concerned about the other groups that are trapped fighting the seraphim on the second floor of Building A.
Chopper warns them that something terrible could happen to Dr. Vegapunk in the lab while they are stuck with the seraphims.
Atlas realizes at this point that a previously used area of the lab has been sealed off. They decided to go over there in the hopes of seeing Dr. Vegapunk.
Meanwhile, on the third floor of Building A, Sanji engages with S-Shark, using the power of his love to defend Nami, Brook, and Edison.
Zoro and Luffy, along with Kaku and Lucci, are still fighting S-Bear on the fourth floor of Building A.
They noticed S-Hawk had vanished, so Luffy asked Zoro and Kaku to look for the seraphim.
Lucci tries to calm Luffy down as the latter launches a series of attacks on S-Bear, hoping to extinguish the flames on its back.
An anonymous person called from Egghead Island about three months ago, before the famous Egghead incident, informing the higher-ups of Dr. Vegapunk's investigation into the contents of the Void Century.
As a result, CP5 was dispatched to investigate the situation, but no evidence was discovered.
CP7 and CP8 were also dispatched for further investigation, but all of their ships vanished without ever returning to the government.
Dr. Vegapunk had clearly betrayed the government after that conversation. The Five Elders immediately decided to eliminate Dr. Vegapunk, directing the CP0 to set sail and complete the mission.
The Five Elders expected Dr. Vegapunk's retaliation, so one of them decided to join and sail with Kizaru as an escort to Egghead Island, along with reinforcements from various branches of the Marines.
Unfortunately, Luffy and the Straw Hats' arrival on the island was an unexpected development, and the Marines became concerned.
Regardless, the outcome of these events will astound the entire world.
Dr. Vegapunk was surprised when the person who shot Shaka was revealed to be York.
York reveals her desire to become a celestial dragon and perceives that the world only requires one Dr. Vegapunk.
