Old and Young Hiccup Feature in French Poster for How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World

The first trailer for How to Train Your Dragon 3 has dropped, and it teases a time jump that will show us a full-bearded Hiccup. The French poster for the film has found its way online, and it shows Hiccup both in this movie, and his age in the first film.

The rumors suggesting that the movie will be about the dragons disappearing seem to be true, as the trailer starts with Hiccup remembering what it was like when there were dragons. It seems a bit grim, but I think it keeps to the vein of the HTTYD franchise. Ever since the first film, the Hiccup has grown significantly, and it's interesting to see where his arc will lead with this final film.

After Kung Fu Panda and Shrek, I don't know what else DreamWorks animation will have up their sleeve after they finish How to Train Your Dragon. It's been a long couple of years, but hopefully they end the series with a bang that it truly deserves.

Now chief and ruler of Berk alongside Astrid, Hiccup has created a gloriously chaotic dragon utopia. When the sudden appearance of female Light Fury coincides with the darkest threat their village has ever faced, Hiccup and Toothless must leave the only home they've known and journey to a hidden world thought only to exist in myth. As their true destines are revealed, dragon and rider will fight together—to the very ends of the Earth—to protect everything they've grown to treasure.
