The 2PM member has been tight-lipped about his personal life but was involved in dating rumors, prompting him to officially address the issue.
In 2020, the news broke that the singer-actor has a non-celebrity girlfriend after they were spotted in Pyeongchang in Gangwon Province in South Korea.
At the time, Ok Taecyeon’s agency confirmed his romantic relationship and revealed that he is dating a 29-year-old, noting that the couple “have been in a serious relationship for about three years” as obtained by SBS News.
The Vincenzo star’s confirmation of his relationship is the first time that the singer-actor made his dating status public since he debuted.
Following the statement from his label, the 33-year-old star also penned a heartfelt message to his fans.
On his Instagram, the 2PM member apologized to fans for the surprise announcement regarding his current relationship.
“I’m sorry about writing to you after so many days as well. I needed some time to go over my thoughts and think of what I should say,” he said, adding that he will continue to do his best as a boy group member and actor.

Interestingly, as noted by a report, Ok Taecyeon’s girlfriend is an office employee and patiently waited for him during his mandatory military enlistment.
