Despite the fact that Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures' joint production Spider-Man: No Way Home will be hitting theaters this year, details about the highly-anticipated third Spidey flick are still being kept under wraps. Aside from the confirmation that both Jamie Foxx and Alfred Molina will be one of the villains in the project, all we know for now is that the film is being dubbed by Tom Holland himself as "the most ambitious superhero film" ever which is quite the claim when you think about it.
Webheads have been demanding both studios to release the first official trailer for the film and it's quite evident that fans are beginning to grow impatient over the lack of Spider-Man content from them. Now, the official Spider-Man Twitter account is pulling a major troll job at the expense of MCU fans and after much clamor, they finally unveiled No Way Home's first official "trailer".
Taking to the social media platform, @SpiderManMovie tried to deliver fake hype and retweeted an image of a literal "trailer" truck with the film's official logo on it. I'm not so sure how to feel about this one. Check it out here:
Meanwhile, a recent listing from the folks over at IGN sent comic book fans into a frenzy when the site suggested that Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, Kirsten Dunst, Emma Stone, Charlie Cox, and more are all confirmed to make appearances on No Way Home. While a report like that should be taken with a huge grain of salt, I'm still convinced that Marvel Studios and Sony are just trying to lie to fans at this point to keep the excitement brewing. The real question is, when and where do they plan to make the grand announcement?
Spider-Man: No Way Home hits cinemas in December.
