Odd Detail Spotted in Spider-Man: Far From Home Trailer Could Hint at Avengers: Endgame

It's finally here! After a month of delay, Sony has given us not one, but two new trailers for Spider-Man: Far from Home. What's interesting is, there's a really odd detail about the still of Peter Parker's passport.

This was pointed out by io9's Jill Pantozzi:

We don't know why Peter's passport wouldn't have years on it, but I'm guessing it may have something to do with the Spider-Man: Homecoming messing up the MCU timeline. Maybe this is some kind of way for Marvel to step back and find out just what year we're in by the time Far from Home comes along.

Then again, it may have something to do with Avengers: Endgame as well. It's been speculated that time travel will have a great deal to do with the plot of that movie, and by the time the film ends, it may have messed with the timeline—possibly fixing any errors.

While some are guessing that this movie could be taking place before the events of Infinity War, a lot of people are almost sure that the film will be taking place after the events of Endgame. Then again, a self-contained story of Peter going to Europe could have very well taken place before the arrival of Thanos.

Personally, I'd rather see the universe move forward with the story than go back.

Peter Parker returns in Spider-Man: Far From Home, the next chapter of the Spider-Man: Homecoming series! Our friendly neighborhood Super Hero decides to join his best friends Ned, MJ, and the rest of the gang on a European vacation. However, Peter's plan to leave super heroics behind for a few weeks are quickly scrapped when he begrudgingly agrees to help Nick Fury uncover the mystery of several elemental creature attacks, creating havoc across the continent!

Spider-Man: Far from Home hits theaters July 5.
