Obi-Wan Shines in New Trailer for Star Wars Battlefront II’s Geonosis Expansion

We were promised a community transmission on Obi-Wan today, but Star Wars Battlefront II has just dropped a whole new trailer for their Geonosis expansion.

Here's the official description:

The Clone Wars have begun. The hero Obi-Wan Kenobi and the map Geonosis arrive in the latest update – free for all Star Wars™ Battlefront™ II players and available from 28th November. Unlock the 212th Clone Trooper appearances and new General Grievous and Obi-Wan Kenobi

Geonosis is a new Galatic Assault mission, and it promises to be one of the largest maps coming to the game. We also get a few teasers on Obi-Wan's moves list plus his two alternate skins. While his standard Jedi look is the default appearance, his robed outfit will run you 40,000 credits (not in real money, FYI).

The arrival of Geonosis and Obi-Wan only marks half of the Clone Wars update in the game. Early next year will also see the arrival of Anakin Skywalker and Count Dooku. Some voice files have also confirmed the possibility of Padme Amidala and Ahsoka Tano becoming playable in the game.

For now, the Black Friday sale has given Star Wars Battlefront II a price tag below $10. That's a real steal for a Triple-A game which still has free DLC incoming next year. Though the game did suffer a historically disastrous launch, DICE is slowly picking up the pieces, and you would be a damn fool to ignore all the improvements.

Star Wars Battlefront II is now playable for Xbox One, PC, and PS4. The Geonosis update comes Nov. 28.
