Obi-Wan Series Director Says New Star Wars Show will be Different From The Mandalorian

It's no secret that the Obi-Wan Kenobi series is currently the most anticipated Star Wars project. But will the new Disney+ show be fairly similar to The Mandalorian? Deborah Chow has just revealed what makes her new series different from Jon Favreau's creation.

Chow recently spoke to The Hollywood Reporter where she explained why working on the Obi-Wan show will be different from what she did for The Mandalorian, and it has a lot to do with the number of episodes she will direct.

"It's definitely going to be different, just in terms of the sheer workload, obviously, of doing the whole thing," Chow said. Interestingly, she also admitted that she will miss working on the other Disney+ show.

"In some ways, I'm going to miss having a team, and having people who are there to bounce ideas off of. But then obviously the flip side is, it is nice to have a coherent voice and know what you're doing from beginning to end," Chow said.

Chow directed two of the epic episodes (Chapter Three: The Sin and Chapter Seven: The Reckoning) of The Mandalorian Season 1. Not surprisingly, her episodes caught the attention of Star Wars fans, who were delighted when it was confirmed that Chow will be working on the Obi-Wan series.

For now, details about the Obi-Wan show have not yet been revealed. Hopefully, we'll find out more about the series in the next few weeks. In the meantime, The Mandalorian Season 2 is expected to premiere on Disney+ by October.
