Nova and Adam Warlock are Reportedly Appearing in Annihilation Movie for the MCU


The Marvel production house may be shut down during the COVID-19 pandemic however it seems the Marvel rumor mill continues running during the novel coronavirus and now it's chugging word that Marvel Studios is preparing an Annihilation movie.

According to a report by Cosmic Book News, Marvel is trying to develop an Annihilation movie with Nova and Adam Warlock playing major roles in the movie.

To the uninitiated, Annihilation was a Marvel comic book event in 2005 that had Nova stand in the forefront of the Marvel Cosmic Universe. The crossover storyline has Annihus trying to lead an invasion army from the Negative Zone into the positive matter universe.

Rumor has it that the upcoming Annihilation movie would become a major film event in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film is reportedly going to feature major Marvel Cosmic Universe characters, including Nova and Adam Warlock. The film however won't be the character's debut – according to the report the two cosmic characters are to appear in the MCU in an earlier film.

Nova and Adam Warlock are also reportedly going to team up with other Marvel Cosmic Universe characters like Captain Marvel, Quasar, and Moondragon as they take down Annihilus who'll be teaming up with Galactus and Terrax.

While we're definitely interested in seeing an Annihilation movie, we have to remind fans to take the report with a grain of salt. Marvel has yet to announce plans to adapt the Annihilation comic book series for the MCU.

Let's wait and see whether Marvel plans to announce the project.

Marvel's next movie, Black Widow, is set to premiere on November 6, 2020.
