No Time To Die Producer Explains Why Daniel Craig is the Perfect James Bond

It's no secret that No Time To Die will be the final film featuring Daniel Craig as James Bond and it's a fact that is clearly a sad thing for Barbara Broccoli. After all, the 007 producer still believes that Craig is the best actor for the job.

Broccoli recently spoke to Variety about No Time To Die and she revealed that she always felt that Craig is the perfect actor to play the British spy.

"He brought flesh and blood to the character," Broccoli said. "Bond in the novel is a silhouette. Daniel has given him depth and an inner life. We were looking for a 21st-century hero, and that's what he delivered. He bleeds; he cries; he's very contemporary."

That certainly sums up just how well Craig has embodied a character that has been played by several other actors. Needless to say, we're a little sorry that it will be time to say goodbye to Craig's Bond this year.

Craig first played the spy in 2006's Casino Royale. He would later reprise the role in Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, and Spectrum. For now, it is unclear who will take over as the new 007 in James Bond 26.

No Time to Die is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga and also star Lea Seydoux, Rami Malek, Naomie Harries, Ben Whishaw, Jeffrey Wright, Ralph Fiennes, and Lashana Lynch. The film is scheduled for release on April 10.
