Nikita Dragun is known for being a makeup artist, media personality, and model, who's recently in the headlines after being taken into custody and put in a men's cell.

Nikita Dragun's Social Media Career
Dragun, whose real name is Nikita Nguyen, joined YouTube in 2013.
"I started to get little brand deals around that time… That was also when I decided to start taking Instagram and YouTube seriously," she said about her growing career.
She came out as a transgender person in 2015 when she was already in Los Angeles, and after just seven years, she had already amassed 3.54 million subscribers on YouTube.

As of this writing, she also has 9 million subscribers on Instagram and 14.6 million followers on TikTok.
Come March 2019, she announced her own makeup line, Dragun Beauty. In September of the said year, it was announced that Nikita would star in her own docuseries on Snapchat called Nikita Unfiltered, which featured her journey as she searched for love, a different path in her career, and explored her fame as a trans woman.
Today, Dragun is already worth $3 million.

Nikita Dragun Put in a Men's Cell
Dragun was taken into custody Monday, November 7, and put in a men's cell, a decision which her publicist, Jack Ketsoyan, saw as "disturbing and dangerous."
"The situation with Nikita, who is legally female, being placed in a men's unit of a Florida jail is extremely disturbing and dangerous," Ketsoyan of Full Scope Public Relations told PageSix.
"This decision made by the Miami-Dade County Corrections Department directly violates their protocol, which mandates that transgender inmates are classified and housed based on safety needs and gender identity," he continued.

Thankfully, the YouTuber is now released and safe, per her rep, thanking everyone for their support.
"Thank you for respecting her privacy during this time."
Dragun was reportedly arrested after being caught walking naked around a luxury Miami hotel pool and throwing water at hotel staff and cops who tried to stop her.
