There hasn't been a lot of news regarding the Nightwing movie from director Chris McKay. Of all the upcoming DC movies coming out, this is one that has a lot of fans curious since the previous appearances from Batman didn't really tease him despite having a dead Robin. Since there has not been a lot of updates, some fans assumed that the film was canceled.
McKay took to social media to inform everyone that the movie was still being made but that fans would have to be patient. He didn't say why the film was taking a while but we can guess that it's a mixture of checking out the casting calls and waiting for a perfect script. Either way, we can only hope that the movie is in good hands.
With rumors about the Nightwing film being canceled, the news from McKay probably put a lot of fans at ease. Admittedly, it would be nice to get some details about the character but since there doesn't seem to be anything concrete yet, we're gonna have to wait.
Fans of Nightwing know that the character has been through a lot lately, at least in the comic books. He was shot in the head and is distancing himself from the Bat-Family, now calling himself Ric Grayson since "Dick" isn't the name he wants to be associated with. It seems like he'll eventually become Nightwing again but we're just going to have to wait.
